Tigers, this is our busiest month of the year! The schedule is packed with school, games, trainings, and…Super Soccer Saturday is only a few weeks away!

Fundraising efforts for Super Soccer Saturday are underway and we need your help! The raffle & silent auction raise a lot of money for South Soccer and we depend on donated prizes to make this happen.

Use this spreadsheet to view businesses and organizations that have been approached and those that have donated in the past. Have an idea? Add it to the list!

More donated prizes = more money for South Soccer.

Here is a letter to use when approaching businesses and organizations.

Most players received folders with raffle tickets earlier this week (more details below).

It’s time to volunteer for Super Soccer Saturday on September 30 (sign up HERE)! This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and we need your help to make it great. Here’s the game schedule to help you plan your day:

TIME TO SELL RAFFLE TICKETS! 

Raffle packets were handed out to all players on Friday except the girls JV team. If you missed practice Friday, your coach has your packet and will give it to you on Tuesday. Raffle ticket sales are critical to funding the soccer program. Please sell as many tickets as you can by Monday, September 25th!

Each packet has 25 tickets and a sheet to record sales. We hope every player can sell $50 worth of tickets. If you sold raffle tickets last year, your sales sheet from last year will be under this year’s sheet. Hit up the same people as a start!

IMPORTANT: Make sure to have ticket buyers write their name and phone number on the back of ALL tickets they purchase! They can’t win if we don’t know who they are/how to reach them.

Win a team pizza party or a gift certificate to Cane’s! 

To incentivize ticket sales, the Booster Club will reward the teams that sell the most tickets with a pizza party! Thanks to player input, this year it’s boys vs girls instead of each team competing against all other teams. So it’s the Boys Varsity, JV and B Squad  VS  the Girls Varsity and JV teams. The girls think they have the edge even though they are outnumbered. Can they do it? You have 3 weeks to find out!

We will also reward the individual player on each team who sells the most tickets with a gift certificate to a local restaurant (Raising Cane’s or Pineda Tacos).

So sell, sell, sell! Share on social media (people can Venmo you to purchase tickets), hit up friends, family, neighbors, teachers, and co-workers. Set up a table at your local grocery store. It’s easy to sell tickets when we typically have over 100 great raffle prizes!

Ticket prices:

1 ticket — $2

3 tickets — $5

6 tickets — $10

PLEASE SHARE YOUR PHOTOS OF SOUTH SOCCER!

We are looking for photo representation of ALL South Soccer teams! We want to capture the fun of the season from many vantage points. So, if you have photos of games, sideline fun, trainings, bus rides, etc. and are comfortable sharing, we will use them in newsletters and at the end of season slideshow.
